MPA Diversity Travel Award Application
This survey is only for graduate students presenting at the annual meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association to be held April 10-12, 2025 in Chicago.
If you are not a graduate student or are not presenting at the conference, please do not complete this survey.
Graduate students who are presenting a paper or poster as first author at the 2025 MPA annual meeting may apply for an MPA Diversity Travel Award. Individuals who identify as ethnic/racial minorities, first-generation college students, LGBTQ+ students, students with a disability, religious minorities, and members of other underrepresented groups in psychology are eligible.
Each award provides a $200 stipend to offset travel costs for the annual meeting. Typically, six awards are available.
To apply, you must complete the following survey which will require:
(1) A description you will enter (or copy and paste) into the survey where prompted in which you state how you meet the criteria for the award and what you do to advance diversity, inclusion, or social justice issues. The MPA Diversity Statement can be found on the MPA website.
(2) The original title of your paper or poster submission. This can be copy and pasted into the survey where prompted.
(3) A pdf letter of support (the letter should be named using your, the applicant's, last name, followed by your initials, such as "RiosK") from a faculty member which will need to be submitted by 11:59pm (EST) on January 31st, 2025. Faculty can submit their letters using this link:
